Short answers to the questions that come up in the first week.
Set the pattern once — week on/week off, 2-2-3, or weekdays and weekends — plus the exchange time. Every day is coloured from that. Pink is one parent, blue is the other. A two-tone day means an exchange happens that afternoon.
Homebase does not offer employees a public calendar feed. In the Homebase app open Settings → Calendar Sync and sync shifts to your phone or Google Calendar. Then copy that calendar's private .ics address (Google Calendar → Settings → your calendar → “Secret address in iCal format”) and paste it under Settings → Connected calendars. NestDays refreshes it every 30 minutes.
Upload the .ics file if the school publishes one. If you only have a PDF or a printed handout, paste the dates as lines under Settings → School calendar: “Nov 11 — Veterans Day”. They become all-day events you can edit.
A swap trades days between the two households without changing the base pattern. Propose the days you give and, if you want, the days you take back. Your co-parent accepts or declines from their private link, and the calendar updates with a timestamped record.
iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. Android: open the browser menu and choose “Install app”. It then opens full screen like any other app and keeps working when the connection is poor.
